What do we do against the gathering darkness?
We think, speak, create, and act. Today. Tomorrow. The next day and every next day.
After the election, I'm shifting my energies from criticizing & arguing and moving toward more direct action. There's no turning back. We're stuck with a regressive government at all layers for at least the next two years. Decades of progress in civil rights, press freedoms, and essential regulation will be undone. Progress against climate change will die.
I'm not losing sight of the big picture, but I'm trying to respond to what happens to all of the individuals impacted by these roll-backs.
Taking care of people in Fort Worth is a priority.
Helping share information about local resources is a priority.
Helping inform on the issues is a priority.
Helping individuals make connections is a priority.
Helping concerned people act is a priority.
Helping create a supportive, nurturing, and creative space for our people is a priority.
Life goes on, whether we like it or not. The world rolls, sometimes right over the top of us. The struggle goes on and on.
The best thing we can do is help one another deal with change, and make a positive difference.
